My Review: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. The student nurses I couldn't even come close to caring about. It definitely reminded me of a soap opera, going back and forth between each storyline. The people I really enjoyed in the book were the elderly patient and Violet. Violet's story in fact was the only thing that kept me going back to this book.
The writing itself was very good, I just couldn't care much about the characters themselves. The setting of Britain right after the death of King George V is very well-written and I could completely transport myself there. The characters themselves were very well-written, but overall, it just didn't hold my interest.
